Stamford Bridge is a highly regarded local village, about eight miles from York. It is historically famous for the Battle of Stamford Bridge in 1066, but now serves as a more traditional village which is highly regarded with families.

Stamford Bridge has a wide range of facilities, local shops, cafes, and restaurants. The village is also served by two regular bus routes.
