Copmanthorpe lies 4 miles south-west of York city centre. Originally the village was a place for tradesmen and farming, but it is now a popular commuter village with a great range of shops, pubs, and its own local primary school. It also lies within the catchment for Tadcaster Grammar school.
There is an excellent sense of community in this village, The Copmanthorpe Recreation Centre provides many sporting and social facilities, with a great children’s play area. The area has great access to main roads including the A64. There is also a regular bus service that takes you straight into the city centre.
