Market Brief: The spotlight shines on York York has been hitting the headlines this month! It was voted the Sunday Times ‘Best Place to Live’ 2018 which of course confirms what people who live and work in the city already knew! It was also featured in the first episode of this year’s channel 4 series Location Location Location which showed the city and some of our properties off fantastically.

It’s been wonderful to see our city getting such high praise! You can read my latest blog to see which other accolades York has won recently.

Looking more closely at the York property market this month, it is fair to say that the bad weather we experienced earlier this month has certainly delayed things for a couple of weeks with people waiting for Spring before putting their property on the market.

We have already seen things start to pick up with many new properties coming onto the market.

Once buyers see there’s more choice out there, they too will be encouraged to sell their property and we can expect the market to very buoyant once again.

Now that the clocks have changed and Easter is upon us, we are anticipating a very busy start to April as the Spring market really gets underway.
