Market Brief: Looking ahead to the New Year We have experienced a much busier December than usual (although perhaps not as busy as Theresa May!) with the sales market in York remaining relatively active for this time of year.
Despite a limited number of properties on the market, those that are being newly offered for sale are getting snapped up straight away.
We have placed three properties on the market in the last week that are now all under offer.
This indicates there is a good number of serious buyers out there and, if you are thinking of selling soon, we are confident that your property will attract a strong level of interest.
If you would like to get an idea of what your current property is worth, why not try our free instant online valuation tool.
Christmas is of course a time for family get togethers and people often find the time to talk to each other about future plans and make decisions for the new year.
We will therefore expect the market to get busier in the new year as people start to put their plans into action.
Of course, Brexit will continue to dominate the headlines in 2019, however life events will carry on, and I am sure that those who are serious about both buying and selling their property will continue to do so, regardless of the outcome of March 29th.
Finally, I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and prosperous new year! Share on social media
