Market Brief: Green shoots in property market, signs that spring is coming! We’ve had a very busy start to the year with many properties being valued ready to put on the market in the next few weeks.

This is an encouraging sign as January can often be an unpredictable month in the property market with everyone still getting over Christmas.

In view of the challenges the UK economy is currently facing with Brexit, it is even more heartening and I am hopeful that we will see plenty of new properties available as Spring approaches.

 The traditionally busy Spring Market will be upon us before we know it and with Easter particularly early this year, it is worth getting ahead of the game if you are thinking of selling, so potential buyers can view your property before the holidays.

 We are finding that buyers are pushing hard for a ‘good deal’ with many placing low initial offers.

With this in mind it is vital that your property is put on the market at a realistic and honest price so that both sellers and purchasers have realistic expectations.

 There is a mood that 'life continues' and it seems people are wanting to get on with their lives following all the ups and downs in the economy over the last couple of years.
