Market Brief: A busy summer market in full swing The summer holidays can often see the market quietening down however, this year we are seeing a much busier market than normal.
The recent disruption of the General Election result had delayed many people’s decision making process as they played a ‘wait and see’ game but, similarly to Brexit last year, there is a realisation that life continues.
Many parties have decided to get on with the purchase anyway and continue with their plans which were put on hold earlier in the year.
This time of year is also a particularly good time to prepare for the autumn market whilst gardens look at their best.
We are out taking photographs in readiness for marketing once the summer is over.
Traditionally the autumn market can be as busy as the spring market as it is the last push before winter to get moved in time for Christmas.
We are seeing a number of new developments preparing for launch in the autumn and, with interest rates remaining low and the outlook certainly not for any large rises for a number of years, buyers seem to be plentiful whereas shortage of stock in some areas is proving the biggest problem so hopefully these will be well received.
I do hope that everyone manages to get some rest over the summer and we look forward to a busy autumn.
